Warwork News, produced by Paramount for the Ministry of Supply from 1942-45, was a newsreel intended for war workers.

This segment on Ruby Loftus Screwing a Breech-Ring was filmed prior to the opening of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1943.

Loftus wrote of the experience in her diary:
“We were filmed walking into the Royal Academy, we being Dame Laura, Sir Charles McLaren, Mr. Galbraith, and myself. Then once inside the Academy, we were filmed all chatting around the Picture (later the Camera Man came to the factory to finish the film. The film was shown on War Workers News.”
